I suddenly felt my first tinge of Christmas today. Yes, it’s still only early November but it can’t be helped with all of the Christmas pomp around at this time of year. And whilst cutting the metaphorical ribbon, officially declaring the season open, I heartily tucked in to a warm mince pie with lashing of cream (I couldn’t face the brandy butter, just yet…).

On a chilly Sunday evening, mince pie in hand, all I was missing was some festive mulled wine. Having just been to the Wine Show at Olympia (where I made sure I sampled as many of the world’s top quality wines as possible!)

Damien Hirst: "I am Become Death, Shatterer of Worlds"

Many an owner of flats for sale Chelsea, stately Chelsea property and in fact homes throughout London have found their favourite home décor items at a Christies auction. The famous London auctioneers announced this week that the month of October will see a series of exciting Christies auctions, coinciding with the Frieze Art Fair.

Post-War & Contemporary
The Post-war and contemporary exhibition will run from 10th-14th October, and the Christies art auction will take place on the evening of the 14th. A day auction will follow on the 15th. This selection of art and photography will ensure the Christies auctioneer will hardly get a chance to pause for breath, especially as this Christies auction is led by Damien Hirst’s butterfly painting I am Become Death, Shatterer of Worlds. This artwork is estimated at a value of £2.5 million to £3.5 million.
