kilimanjaroWe know that climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is no easy task and is just a tad more difficult than reaching the top a bunch of climbing fames in your local park and those who have braved the bad weather and have exerted themselves to reach the highest point on earth should be honoured for their dedication and determination. Recently, another man completed the hike to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro and what makes this man’s story so unique is that he is now the oldest man in the world to do so.

George Solt from Olney in Buckinghamshire recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and at the ripe old age of 82, he has now become the oldest man in the world to climb the mountain. Solt did not however climb Mount Kilimanjaro for his own self satisfaction however; his adventure was all in loving memory of his wife as well as his dedication to raising money for the Willen Hospice in Milton Keys where his wife spent her last few months before she passed away.
