A Honeymoon is a blissful time at the start of a marriage when the rosy tinted spectacles are firmly on your nose and nothing can go wrong. Or is it? A Saudi bride was left in the airport toilets while on her Malaysian honeymoon by her new husband who boarded a plane without her.
Apparently, the bride was taking too long with her ablutions so her husband thought the best option would be to simply get on the flight so that at least one of the newlyweds could get home from their honeymoon destination in Malaysia, leaving his wife in a foreign country on her own.
The women, who had covered the Malaysian honeymoon’s costs herself, started searching for her husband all over Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia after she emerged from the airport toilets, convinced that something terrible had happened to him. On his arrival back home, the husband, who seemed unfazed by the unfortunate honeymoon incident, told relatives that his wife was still in Malaysia.
After a lengthy search, the wife learnt from airport authorities that her husband of one week had already boarded the flight which had taken off without her onboard. It is unclear how long the Saudi teacher had stayed in the airport toilets, but either it was an unreasonable length of time or her husband has an unreasonably short temper. Either way it’s not the best end to an idyllic honeymoon in Malaysia or the best start to a marriage.
If the Saudi woman rather used the portable toilets on the plane, she would still be enjoying the ignorant bliss of the life of a newlywed. Alternatively, she could rather have married a man who would take the time to find out why she was taking so inordinately long in the airport toilets at the end of their Malaysian honeymoon instead of simply leaving without her.
