£1 Million Houseboat for "sail"
So, you’ve been searching everywhere for the perfectly located London Property, however it seems all the most desirable central London property locations have already been snapped up and the current owners are unwilling to let go of their prime estate. Fear not! A slightly new craze to be entering the London Luxury property market recently is that of houseboats. With docking locations being primarily central, you can be assured that you will always be in walking distance of your work, a major tube station as well as your favourite pub.
A recent listing on London Property Websites showed what is allegedly the most expensive houseboat currently on the market. The boat named “Ocean”, is docked at Cadogan Pier in Chelsea. It boasts luxury features that will have you thinking you’re on a secluded island nowhere near the hustle and bustle of the city life. At a whopping 1388 square feet you will definitely not feel as cramped as many people do in much smaller apartments in and around nearby Chelsea.
The boat, which was purchased in France and sailed across to London by its current owners, has 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, reception room, study, utility room and of course, a swimming pool – enough to host a family of four quite comfortably (although I fear a few of London’s most eligible bachelors might want to get their paws on this London property sale which is guaranteed to be a bit of a “chick magnet”).

Regardless of who you are, if you’re currently looking to buy London property, you will need to fork out at least £1 million for this central London property – that works out to about £720 per square foot, a comfortable 25% cheaper than other London property prices in the close vicinity. London property agents claim that they have had a lot of interest in the boat, however many people can’t quite get their heads around spending £1 million on a boat.
