Yolanda Be Cool are the latest craze to come from Down Under! Made up of Sylverster Martinez and Johnson Peterson, they teamed up with fellow Aussie DCUP (Duncan MacLennan) to create the overnight international success, “We No Speak Americano”. Released on a small independent Australian label run by house legend Ajax, it uses a sample from an old Italian song penned in 1956 by Renato Carosone and Nicola Salemo entitled ‘Tu Vio Fa L’americano’.

Robert Owens has been at the forefront of the vocal House Music scene since its inception. He had his humble beginnings growing up in the slums of Chicago and LA where he learned to sing, predominantly through gospel choirs. He penned his first song Mysteries of Love with another house legend and old-time friend Larry Heard and has achieved his main success through his seminal hit, “I’ll Be Your Friend”. He also made a natural and equally successful transition into DJing, which was aided and encouraged by none other than the original house DJ from the notorious Paradise Garage, Larry Levan.
